Birding Field Trip, Washington Crossing Audubon Society

Join Washington Crossing Audubon Society at 8:30 AM on Saturday, March 9 for a free birding trip led by John Maret and Andrew Bobe at Assunpink Wildlife Management Area. This is the time to start looking for migrating waterfowl and other northern-bound birds in this productive local wildlife management area. Directions: East on I-195 to exit 11, Imlaystown. North on Imlaystown Road 2.6 miles to parking area at Lake Assunpink. Whether you want to photograph people or objects, we'll cover the basics to get you comfortable with using a flash. From poster board to aluminum foil, we'll discuss the photography hacks to get great results for less. You'll leave the class with new techniques you can use to take your own pro level photos.

Lord and Taylor Shopping Day for The Community Well

On Saturday, March 9, Lord & Taylor will hold its annual shopping day for charity at their Quakerbridge location. The Community Well has been invited to participate this year. We're selling tickets for $5 each that will entitle purchasers to receive a 30% discount throughout the store (15% on cosmetics/fragrances) on March 9. You can also shop 5 days before the event and use your ticket for the same discounts - these "pre-sell" items must be picked up any time after 3/9.

All proceeds go directly to The Community Well. We'll also be hosting a table at the store on March 9 to share information about The Well, its New Directions Center, and some other programs of the church. There will be music, face painting and more. Tickets can be purchased in the Fellowship Center after worship this Sunday. On Saturday afternoon, March 9, Unitarian Universalist ministries from all across New Jersey will convene at the UU Congregation of Princeton to raise funds for UUFaith Action NJ, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of important issues here in the state of New Jersey. These choirs will sing pieces that uplift social action in a program called, "Voices to Action.
