Hopewell Gives Back: MLK Day of Service

Monday, January 21 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Hopewell Presbyterian Church (80 West Broad Street, Hopewell, NJ 08525), Hopewell Gives Back: MLK Day of Service: Volunteers of all ages will help 7 local nonprofits: baking, making fleece blankets, seed bombs and more! Donations of canned food, recital costumes, and winter coats are greatly appreciated.

MLK Day of Service and A Community Dialogue, La Convivencia

La Convivencia is teaming up with the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown to host the 2nd annual “MLK Day of Service and A Community Dialogue”. Help us connect our communities through service and dialogue, all while packing food items and winter clothes to benefit RISE and the local food pantry.

After the service, there will be community dialogue about promoting justice, equality, and peace during these challenging times facilitated by Pastor Arroyo.

Martin Luther King Day of Service at West Windsor Arts Council

West Windsor Human Relations Council is partnering with the West Windsor Arts Council to hold A DAY OF SERVICE - joining forces to help those in our communities we are asking for donated items for three community groups. The three Not for Profit Service Partners are: 1. Send Hunger Packing West Windsor-Plainsboro a program of Mercer Street Friends; 2. RISE Community Services; 3. Ryan’s Case for Smiles.

The Day of Service will feature speakers, a book reading, projects including putting together bags for use in the SHuP WW-P program, making pillowcase bags for Ryan’s Case for Smiles and other entertainment. The event will take place at the West Windsor Art’s Council located at 952 Alexander Road, West Windsor, NJ. Monthly Program, Washington Crossing Audubon Society

Washington Crossing Audubon President Sharyn Magee will introduce us to the birds of South Africa with stunning photographs taken by her husband, Charles Magee. She will elaborate on distribution, habit requirements and conservation, with an emphasis on endemic species. The program will be held in Stainton Hall on the campus of the Pennington School, 112 W. Delaware Ave., Pennington, NJ.
