Winter Bird Walk, The Watershed Institute

Shabbat Katan - The Jewish Center

Shabbat Katan is a monthly service designed for Preschool/Kindergarten-aged children and their families. Warm and spirited, this interactive Shabbat experience will include stories, prayers, songs, and a brief Torah reading. Stay for Shabbat Katan lunch and get to meet other families with little ones. Candle Making Workshop, The Watershed Institute

Celebrate the approaching Winter Solstice and the return of the light by making candles! We will create hand-dipped candles and sand candles. Learn how to shape candles and add embellishments, then go home with your unique handmade gifts! Designed for ages 8 and up.

A Day of Holiday Service, Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church

A Day of Holiday Service, 2 – 5p.m., Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, 154 South Mill Rd.,West Windsor. Spread some holiday cheer by decorating Christmas cookies, writing cheerful messages of encouragement, and assemble hygiene kits to Benefit Arm In Arm & RISE families. Participants are encouraged to bring personal care items to the event. Through your kind donations, together we can make a difference in the lives of many.

“A Winter’s Night”, Voices Chorale NJ

For its first concert of the 2018–2019 season, Voices Chorale NJ will present “A Winter’s Night” two times in December: Saturday, December 8, at 4 PM, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton, NJ, and Sunday, December 16, at 3 PM, at Pennington Presbyterian Church in Pennington, NJ. Tickets are available at

“A Winter’s Night” will feature works by Nicholas Myers, Bob Chilcott, John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and more. Included are six carols by English composer Bob Chilcott, described in The Observer as “a contemporary hero of British choral music.”
