Amazing Pumpkin Carve, Hopewell Valley Arts Council

In its fourth year, the Hopewell Valley Arts Council's Amazing Pumpkin Carve is a must-not-miss, art-filled weekend of fun in the heart of the Hopewell Valley. The Amazing Pumpkin Carve will run from Wednesday, October 10 through Sunday, October 14, 2017 at Woolsey Park in Titusville. Visitors of all ages will be wowed by a walk thru exhibition of 150-pound pumpkins carved by local artists. New this year: the artists have electricity! There is sure to be some cool lighting and motion added to their creations, while another group of creative folks will be adorning scarecrows to add to the display.

Activities and special events will include food trucks, evening storytelling around fire pits with s'mores kits, paint-a-pumpkin craft tent, fun photo ops, a humongous hay bale playground, pumpkins for sale at the pumpkin patch, and more! Special events throughout the weekend include dance performances by The Pennington Studio for Dance and Creative Arts, a pet costume contest, and an ever popular cornhole tournament.  For more information and the full schedule of all this fantastic fall fun, please check out the Hopewell Valley Arts Council website at

Painting for a Purpose, Enable NJ

Trees in the Home Landscape, Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County

Dr. Jason Grabosky, renowned tree expert and Professor in Urban Forestry at Rutgers University’s School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Department of Ecology Evolution and Natural Resources, will share his vast knowledge of trees in the home landscape on Wednesday evening, Oct. 10. The program, sponsored by the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County, will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Public Library, 1 Justice Alito Way, Hamilton Township.

Princeton's Whole Earth Center is pleased to announce that its Fall 2018 Healthy Living Discussion Group will begin on October 10th. Lively gatherings explore healthy approaches to food, fitness, & wellness, in this free, six session offering.

Brief presentations are followed by dynamic discussion on group selected topics. Tools, fact sheets, recipes & support are provided to help participants map a healthier life course. Palmer Uhl CHC & Bea Snowdon MS ACN facilitate each group.
