Calling all singers and instrumentalists. No previous experience is necessary. Kids and adults from any background are welcome. (No, you don’t have to be Jewish to sing, play and love Jewish music.)

Come sing and play klezmer music, Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino songs, Hasidic tunes and synagogue songs (with a timely focus on Sukkot). It’s all great music and you will have a wonderful time in a warm and heymish (friendly and cozy) environment.

We invite everyone to participate, regardless of vocal or instrumental level, previous experience, background or knowledge. Ages to 120 are welcome. If you are someone who is shy about singing or playing, come anyway. We’ll make it work! Kids should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Instrumentalists, please bring a music stand. Family Fun Day, Send Hunger Packing Princeton

Come join the fun and support Send Hunger Packing Princeton! On Sunday September 23rd, from 1-3pm at Hinds Plaza (next to the Princeton Public Library), SHUPPrinceton will be holding their annual fundraiser. This year's theme centers around family and will include activities like face painting and DJ dancing as well as freshly popped pop corn.

SHUPPrinceton provides supplemental meals to children in food insecure homes in Princeton. SHUPPrinceton is 100% privately funded and offers food to anyone in need without any pre-qualifications. We believe that "a child should hunger for knowledge, not their next meal". To date we have provided over 100,00 meals. The event is under a tent so will take place rain or shine. Tickets: $20 for children and Adults are FREE (accompanied by a child)

Historic Princeton Walking Tour - Bainbridge House

Enjoy a 2-mile, two-and-a-half hour walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Bainbridge House, Nassau Hall, the University Chapel and Palmer Square. The early history of Princeton, the founding of the University and the American Revolution are just some of the stories from Princeton’s history that you will learn on your tour.

Tickets are $7. Advance purchase is recommended, as space is limited. Walk up ticket sales are cash only; guides cannot provide change.

Chamber Music Concert, Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra

The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission in collaboration with Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra Presents BRAVURA CHAMBER CONCERT SERIES

This series is under the direction of internationally-acclaimed Chiu-Tze Lin, director and conductor of the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, which has been lauded for its luminous and energetic performances. This chamber concert features much-beloved music composed by Copland, Gershwin, and other well-known Jewish composers.

$12 general and $10 Patrons Advanced tickets are available by calling 732-521-4400 (ask for Cecilia) or going to the Monroe Municipal Building at 1 Municipal Plaza. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the afternoon of the concert as of 2:30 PM.
