Millstone River Canoe Trip, The Watershed Institute

Saturday June 9, 2018
9:30 AM

Look for American shad and other migratory fish from canoe or kayak as we journey along the Millstone River from Griggstown to Manville, accompanied by staff from The Watershed Institute. Watershed scientists and naturalists will describe how last summer's removal of the Weston Mill Dam restored historic migration routes for American shad and other fish that have been blocked for nearly three centuries from the Millstone River. This section is the heart of our watershed. Canoes and kayaks will be rented on site and the fee covers the watercraft, paddle, and a PFD. A lifeguard will accompany the outing. Fee depends on the type of watercraft rented. Directions will be sent after registration.
