American Red Cross Blood Drive, Beth El Synagogue in East Windsor

Tour de Franklin Charity Bike Ride

he Tour de Franklin Charity Bike Ride consists of seven different rides throughout the day, including the 62-mile, 40-mile, 25-mile, 10-mile, 1-to-5-mile walk or ride, and a 5-mile and 10-mile ride along Somerset’s scenic canal. Breakfast, lunch and break stops are provided, and all participants who register before April 2 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Silver Riders who raise over $150 and Gold Riders who raise over $300 also receive a special shirt, and Titanium Riders who raise $1,000 receive special cycling jerseys.

The Tour de Franklin is the Franklin Food Bank’s largest annual fundraising event, and almost 800 riders participated in 2017 to raise almost $80,000. The financial support is greatly needed. In 2017, the Franklin Food Bank processed over 1.3 million pounds of food in the Millstone Road warehouse feeding over 1800 Franklin Township families in need. The Arts Council of Princeton, in collaboration with the students of Princeton University and the town of Princeton, presents the 48th annual Communiversity ArtsFest on Sunday, April 29 from 1-6pm – rain or shine. It's a town and gown festival with artists, art activities and continuous live performances on seven stages. The ArtsFest is a Princeton-based free event comprised of local performers, artists, crafters, merchants, community groups, and volunteers from Princeton and surrounding areas.
