"American Exceptionalism: Race, Crime and Democracy in the United States," will be the topic of a presentation by Lisa Miller, Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University, at the meeting of 55-Plus at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, at the Jewish Center of Princeton, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, with a $3 donation suggested.

On Thursday, March 8, from 4:30-6:30pm, The Old Barracks Museum will be serving wine and hors d'oeuvres as we honor Gail Hunton with the 2018 Beulah Oliphant Award. The 2018 honoree is Gail Hunton, Chief of the Acquisition and Design Department at Monmouth County Park System. Throughout her career, she has worked for numerous cities and counties throughout New Jersey, including Monmouth County, Plainfield, Cranbury Township, Mercer County, Westfield, Washington Township (Morris County), Matawan, Freehold, and more. She has led or assisted over 35 projects for the Monmouth County Park System, ensuring continued restoration of parks and buildings, interpretive materials, permanent exhibits, publications, archeological research, and National Register Nominations.
