Princeton Photo Workshop: Digital Photography..Taking Better Pictures

Do you love to take pictures? Do you want to learn how to make your pictures better? We will investigate how to use composition and lighting and we'll practice what we're learning to hone our new skills. You'll leave the class with more confidence to develop your own style as a photographer. 

GPYO Orchestra Festival

Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra (GPYO) presents GPYO Orchestra Festival will feature Guest soloist, Mr. Roger Nye, Bassoonist, New York Philharmonic and all four ensembles – Preparatory strings, Preparatory Winds, Concert Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of conductors Mr. Christopher Beckett, Mr. David Rabinowitz and Kawika Kahalehoe . This will be a delight to all as well as an inspiration to upcoming musicians in the area. The concert is being presented at the Patriots Theater at War Memorial, Trenton, NJ.

Concert, Pianist Simone Dinnerstein & Princeton Symphony Orchestra

Sunday, January 28 at 4 pm – renowned pianist Simone Dinnerstein performs J.S. Bach's Keyboard Concerto No. 7 in G Minor with Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) and a new concerto written for her by Philip Glass and co-commissioned by the PSO. Also on the program are Mason Bates' Auditorium and Maurice Ravel's Le tombeau de Couperin. Rossen Milanov conducts. 3pm Pre-Concert Talk free to ticket-holders. Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall, on the campus of Princeton University. Pure Ballroom Dance, Central Jersey Dance Society

Central Jersey Dance Society presents our Pure Ballroom Dance: Beginner/Intermediate Quickstep lesson with instructor Galina Nikitina from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Open dancing from 5:00pm-8:00pm to Ballroom Mix dance music by DJ Marc Liebeskind. Location: Suzanne Patterson Center, 45 Stockton Street (for GPS, use: 1 Monument Drive), Princeton, NJ 08540. No partner needed; newbies, singles, and couples are welcome. Light refreshments included. $15; $10 students with current ID.

Film Screening "Swastika to Jim Crow", Adath Israel

Adath Israel Congregation invites you to a Film Screening "From Swastika to Jim Crow" illustrating the continually evolving struggle for freedom on a very human level. Rabbi Benjamin Adler will lead a discussion following the film. Various area clergy have been invited to attend and participate in discussion. 

Two very different cultures share a common burden of oppression. It's a perfect time for this discussion, especially as February African-American History month approaches.
