26th Annual Trinity Church St. Nicholas Bazaar

Saturday December 2, 2017
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The 26th annual Trinity Church St. Nicholas Bazaar will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec.2, at the church on 33 Mercer Street. Trinity parishioners have cut their English and American boxwood to be made into topiaries and centerpieces. More than 70 fragrant balsam wreaths from Maine have been decorated. The bazaar will feature a cookie walk and bake sale, "Parish Originals" featuring more than 50 handmade gifts, including shoulder bags, placemats, and hand knits.

New this year are cashmere mittens made for children and adults, with a variety of linings and colors. The Trinity Strings musicians will perform and lunch will be served. A silent auction will feature ladies' winter coats by Orvis and Vera Wang, pottery from Williams- Sonoma, among other items. Gently-used, ladies' holiday clothing and evening wear for Christmas and New Year's Eve will fill another room.

Children can shop for family presents inside Junior Shoppers, where adults are not allowed, but elves will offer gift advice. St. Nick himself will greet your family and pose for selfies. For more information, visit trinityprinceton.org or call 609-924-2277.

British Occupation of the Old Barracks

Saturday December 2, 2017
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Come to the Old Barracks this December as the 17th Regiment of Infantry returns as they first did in December 1776! This event will commemorate the occupation of Trenton by British troops just weeks prior to the Battle of Trenton, and offer visitors a view into this often misrepresented side of American history. Throughout the day on Saturday, December 2nd, visitors to the Old Barracks will meet reenactors of the 17th Regiment of Infantry as they portray the daily lives of British soldiers. These men will drill, perform musket demonstrations, cook over the outdoor camp kitchen, sew winter clothing, and more in this unique event that will show a side of the Revolutionary War not often seen before.

For more information, visit www.barracks.org or call 609-396-1776. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and free for active duty military personnel, members of the Old Barracks Association, and children 5 and under. The Old Barracks Museum will be open 10 AM - 5 PM on Saturday, December 2nd.
