6th Annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Princeton University

Princeton University will be celebrating the 6th Annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) on Monday, April 24. The keynote speaker at this event will be Haben Girma who identifies as a person who is deafblind. Girma graduated from Harvard Law School, has met with Presidents Obama and Clinton, and has delivered a TED talk.

Haben's message of finding access for diverse abilities in higher education will frame the University's own commitment to providing access for people of all abilities. The event will also feature Michelle Minter, the University's vice provost for institutional equity and diversity, and Jay Dominick, the University's vice president for information technology and CIO; the two areas of administration that are leading the accessibility initiative at Princeton University.
