“Confessions of a Public Sociologist: A Tale of Two Eras” will be the topic of a presentation by Douglas S. Massey, Henry G. Bryant Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University, at the meeting of 55-Plus at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2, at the Jewish Center of Princeton, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, with a $3 donation suggested.

Literacy New Jersey FREE Citizenship Class, Plainsboro Library

Literacy New Jersey is offering a free citizenship preparation class covering history/government, practice interviews/tests, and the N-400 form. Classes will be held at the Plainsboro Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The course is designed to assist permanent residents of any nationality who want to obtain their U.S. citizenship through naturalization or are just interested in learning about the United States, geography and civics, or improving English-speaking skills. Students must have a green card to be eligible for the class.

Registration is required. Registration will be March 2 at 10:30am at the Plainsboro library. Classes will be March 7 - May 18.
