George Washington’s 285th Birthday Celebration

Come celebrate George Washington’s 285th birthday on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA). Admission is just $1.

During the day, buildings in the historic village will be open and various children’s activities will be offered. Children are encouraged to bring homemade birthday cards to present to General Washington. At 1 p.m., visitors will gather in the park’s visitor center to sing Happy Birthday to George and enjoy cake that he will cut with his sword.

Washington Crossing Historic Park is located at 1112 River Road in Washington Crossing, Pa. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. To stay up-to-date on what is happening in the park, visit WashingtonCrossingPark.org.

2 p.m., The Don Evans Players, a volunteer, community theater group named for the late Trenton off-Broadway playwright, will perform a short skit entitled Lifting Every Voice. Yevgeny Morozov, Solo Piano, Greater Princeton Steinway Society

Yevgeny Morozov, a prize winner in many prestigious international competitions in the U.S. and Europe, will present a musicale for the Greater Princeton Steinway Society on Sunday, February 19. The concert will take place at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall at Jacobs Music, 2540 Brunswick Pike (U.S. Route 1), Lawrenceville, NJ.  His Steinway Society program will feature works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and Chopin. 

A social hour with refreshments and conversation with Mr. Morozov will follow his performance.

Steinway Society memberships are $50 per individual or $85 per family and include admission to all six musicales. Tickets for individual musicales are $18 for adults or $10 for full-time students, and may be purchased at the Jacobs Music Recital Hall 30 minutes before each program. Benefactors contributing $100 and up, and Sponsors contributing $250 or more, also earn admission to all six musicales, plus recognition in the concert programs.
