PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Dear Sisters

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE - and a wonderful Spring season to you, also.  Have lots of fun being outdoors, whether enjoying our many parks, taking long walks or just sitting outside after the long winter.

At our March10th meeting, we started a discussion on the future of CJNBW and there were many suggestions which you saw in the Minutes.  At this month's meeting, we plan to continue the discussion and  explore the suggestions, and hopefully come up with some concrete plans.

If you were unable to attend the March meeting, your thoughts and ideas are still needed and would certainly be welcomed.

We finally received the letter from Hightstown High School regarding the awarding of scholarships/book awards.  The form was completed and returned by the deadline of 3/27.  We will now wait for the seniors to complete the applications and return them to us by May 1. The school wants to know the names of awardees by May 13.

We'd love to have your input, and look forward to seeing you on April 14th

Take care.

Joyce

Hear Every Cell Call Clearly!

The secret? While the other person is speaking, simply cover the mouthpiece, and your caller's voice will be crystal-clear--even if you're standing in a noisy spot.  Sounds around you are picked up by the microphone in your phone's mouthpiece and transmitted back into your ear along with the caller's voice, creating an incomprehensible jumble, explains neuroscientist.  Covering the mouthpiece prevents the problem.  (from Woman's World).

2010 U.S. CENSUS - If you are interested in temporary work, you may want to contact the U.S. Census Bureau, as they are in the process (I understand) of hiring a large number of census takers.  The website you should contact is: www.census.gov/2010censusjob/index.phb or www.WUSA9.com.

There will most likely be ads in local newspapers, so be on the look-out.

TIPS for March, 2009

Stop Mold from forming - After using your bathtub, leave the bathroom door open and the lights on until the tub dries.  The airflow and light cause the tub to dry faster so mold can't grow.

Hydrogen Peroxide! Not only will it bubble up to disinfect your tub when mixed with water, but it doesn't give off toxic fumes like traditional cleaning products!

Clean the Caulk! Pour some rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle and spritz the caulk around the tub.  The alcohol will kill mildew on contact, leaving your tub clean and germ-free!

PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS
 IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS:

Our continued best wishes are sent to the following:  Louise's uncle; Kevin and Regina; Illean's brother, Bill, Lorna's mother, and Ruth's mother-in-law. Also Louise and Walter.

It is our intention to remember all who are ill, lost a loved one, and congratulate members and their families when achievements are made. However, you must let Lois know so mention can be made in the Newsletter.
