Princeton Arts Review: Winter 1998

Por Los Angeles

by Robin Gutkin

Cerrado

means "closed"

in Spanish.

Learned that from

an endangered species

known as Cookie Monster

just last week

on PBS.

Fortunately,

they already speak

Spanish

in L. A.

so that even if

"Sesame Street"

goes the way of the

passenger pigeon

the youngest of the dying children

will nonetheless be able

to remark upon the status

of the

local hospital.
