Womanspace Communities of Light Launch Event October 22

October 7, 2019 – In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Womanspace will launch our 2019 Communities of Light™ Peace Begins At Home campaign on October 22 at 5:30pm at Terhune Orchards in Princeton, NJ. This campaign, now in its eighteenth year, is a powerful symbol of hope and solidarity for those affected by domestic and sexual violence in our community.

Following our launch event on October 22, we encourage businesses, neighborhoods, and community organizations to purchase luminary kits, raise awareness of Womanspace’s services, and spread the message that “Peace Begins at Home.” Luminary kits are available directly from Womanspace and a variety of county retailers for a small price of $10. Money earned from the sale of luminary kits goes directly to providing crucial support services for those affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Womanspace is delighted to have the members of the Mercer County Police Chiefs Association as this year’s Honorary Chairs. These individuals allow Womanspace to better connect with, serve, and advocate for those in our community whom domestic and sexual violence affect.

Please join Womanspace for the Communities of Light launch on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Terhune Orchards in Princeton, New Jersey at 5:30 PM. All are welcome, but space is limited. Be sure to register by calling 609-394-0136 or emailing Luminary kits will be available for purchase at this event.

Womanspace would like to thank its 2019 Communities of Light sponsors, which include Brian Zack & Ginger August, Danielle Coppola, Pam & Ed Schmierer, Biofarma, and Mason, Griffin & Pierson.
