Womanspace COL Luminary Lighting December 2

November 25, 2019– On Monday, December 2, Communities of Light™ (COL) candles will line the streets of central New Jersey – a powerful symbol of hope for men, women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in our community. The candles come from luminary kits purchased through Womanspace, which help spread the important message that Peace Begins at Home. Money earned from the sale of luminary kits goes directly to providing crucial support services for those affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Please purchase a $10 luminary kit at one of many retail locations throughout the county (details are available on Womanspace's website, www.womanspace.org) and light up your home in support. There will also be public municipal lightings and community lightings in East Windsor, Ewing, Hamilton, Hightstown, Hopewell, Lawrence, Pennington, Princeton, Robbinsville, Trenton, and West Windsor. Several schools will be participating, including The Peddie School (with a lighting at Peddie Chapel), The College of New Jersey, Lawrence High School, and Princeton University. For a full list of public lightings, visit the Womanspace website at www.womanspace.org, or see the Facebook event page. You can also support by buying one of Womanspace's "virtual" luminaries online, which were generously created by students from Chapin School.

Womanspace would like to thank their 2019 Communities of Light sponsors, which include the Mercer County Police Chiefs Association, PNC Bank, Brian Zack & Ginger August, Mason Griffin & Pierson, Danielle Coppola, Biofarma, Princeton Orthopaedic Associates, Windsor Castle Associates, Pam & Ed Schmierer, Sheilagh Mescal Gunstensen, Alliant, Princeton Center for Yoga, Grit & Polish, Premier Title, Finance of America, Hopewell Township Superior Officers' Association, the Mercer County Sheriff, Ewing PBA, Ewing SOA, Hopewell Township PBA, Robbinsville PBA, Palmer Square, Credit Union of NJ, the Maloney Family, Frank's Italian Ices, Pennington Business and Professional Association, and Personal Paperwork Solutions.
