Pastor Ted Winsley, Sr. Chaplain to Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, To Share Stories and Insight at 7th Annual RiseUPTrenton Banquet

On Thursday evening, April 25th, UrbanPromise Trenton will host its 7th Annual RiseUPTrenton Banquet at the Boathouse at Mercer Lake in West Windsor. Featured keynote speaker Ted Winsley, Sr., chaplain to the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, will share stories about his 17 years with the team and insight into how he helped the players turn adversity into a world championship!

Since 2001, when Pro Bowler Troy Vincent was an Eagle, Pastor Ted has helped numerous Eagles players live out their faith. He has seen players that have had it all, yet it was still not enough. Pastor Ted will share his insight into how these superstar players changed their lives and, in the process, turned an average football franchise into first-time Super Bowl Champions! Pastor Ted was there in the huddle when the Eagles took the field and will share what he told the players before the big game, showing them that they were part of something much larger than themselves.

As for his own story, Pastor Ted did not plan on a life in the ministry. He had aspirations to become a professional football player himself.  However, after a career-ending injury, he set out in the corporate world, working his way up to become a National Sales Manager for FUBU and the famous Shark Tank mogul Daymond John. Yet, Ted realized his true purpose was not in the business world and left behind a lucrative career to follow his calling to the ministry.  Today, in addition to his position as Eagles’ chaplain, Pastor Ted and his wife, Pastor Dawn Winsley, lead The Family Church in Voohees, NJ.

The evening with Pastor Ted will raise funds to support the programs of UrbanPromise Trenton, including our free SummerCamp Progam and our StreetLeader Programs. All of the programs at UrbanPromise Trenton provide children and teens with a safe and nurturing environment where they receive academic and cultural enrichment opportunities through partnerships with area organizations, including The Bonner Scholar Program at The College of New Jersey, New Jersey Tennis and Learning of Trenton and First Tee of Greater Trenton.

A limited number of tickets are available for a special VIP Meet and Greet cocktail hour with Pastor Ted beginning at 6 PM.  VIP tickets are $150, and tickets for the event beginning at 7 PM are still available for $100 per person.  For tickets and further information on the event, please visit the UrbanPromise Trenton website at  You can also call the office at 609-566-4673, or email Eric Martin, Resource Manager at
