Literacy New Jersey Mercer Programs Tutor Training Workshop - Volunteers Needed

The gift of literacy is a great way to give back to our community!  Join us as a volunteer tutor and help adults improve their English literacy skills. Work one-to-one or in small groups to teach adults who are learning to speak, read, and write English. 

Our Tutor Training Workshop will take place on Zoom, September 8, 15, 22, 29, and October 6, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Participants are expected to attend all training sessions and complete some independent online assignments. Previous teaching experience not necessary.  Our training will provide you with all the essential skills and support to become an effective tutor. After the training, you'll be ready to start meeting with your students online once a week.  All our current tutoring is now online.
