Literacy New Jersey Mercer Programs Tutor Training Workshop This Fall

Give the gift of literacy! Join us as a volunteer tutor and help adults improve their English literacy skills. Work one-to-one or in small groups to teach adults who are learning to speak, read, and write English.

Our Tutor Training Workshop will take place online on Zoom, Wednesdays Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 & Oct. 4 & 11, from 6:00-8:00pm. Participants are expected to attend all training sessions and complete some independent online assignments. Previous teaching experience not necessary. Our training will provide you with all the essential skills and support to become an effective tutor. After the training, you'll be ready to start meeting with your students in-person or online once a week.
