Author Event, Washington Crossing Parks
Learn the story of one of the most revered landmarks in the United States when HLT welcomes authors Patricia Millen and Robert Sands Jr. to discuss their new book Washington Crossing on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. during HLT’s Farmers’ Market. This illustrated lecture on Washington Crossing will explore the history of the site of General George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River with his Continental Army in 1776 to the Battle of Trenton-- through the creation of both parks that mark its place in memorial. The talk will last about 45 minutes with time for questions. The authors will have books to sell and autograph for $24 each. The program is free, but reservations are strongly encouraged by emailing dave@hunterdonlandtrust.org. The program will be held in the wagon house of the historic Dvoor Farm, 111 Mine St. in Flemington.
