Birdwatching Walk, D&R Canal Watch

A birdwatching walk along the D&R Canal towpath will be held Sunday, June 3, sponsored by the D&R Canal Watch. The free walk will be conducted by Barbara and George Dawson, who will point out orioles, wrens and vireos as well as interesting plants. Meet 8 a.m. at the historic Van Wickle House at the foot of DeMott Lane off Easton Avenue in Franklin Township. The address is 1289 Easton Ave., Somerset. Bring binoculars and drinking water
