Friends of Herrontown Woods Fun Day

Take advantage of the beautiful spring weather at a local park with lots of fun things happening. Come to The Herrontown Woods (600 Snowden Lane, Princeton, NJ, 08648) on Sunday, May 4th. Activities for all ages!

9:00 am – 11:00 am: Coffee and homemade treats at May's Barden Café

11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Frogs and flowers nature walk with botanist Steve

11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Multi-generational circus experience – storytelling, juggling, puppets, and more!

4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Children's gardening class for pre-K and early elementary ages

Grounds For Sculpture’s Annual Plant Sale

Now in its sixth year, From Our Grounds to Yours, Grounds For Sculpture’s annual plant sale, will feature a unique selection of annuals, perennials, and shrubs, as well as a variety of GFS propagated trees, houseplants, and succulent gardens. Our Director of Horticulture, Horticulture staff and volunteers will be on hand during the sale to answer questions and share garden-planning advice. All proceeds support GFS’s Horticulture department. This event is rain or shine. Don’t forget to bring your wagon! We will feature a demonstration on container gardening by the Horticulture staff at 12:30PM. The plant sale takes place on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

Princeton Pottery Festival, Princeton Day School

About Us The Princeton Pottery Festival launches May 3rd through 4th, 2025, with the mission of supporting functional ceramics in New Jersey through a yearly gathering of makers, collectors, and art enthusiasts. The festival was founded by Eric Rempe, Dallas Wooten, Rachael Bailey, and Ben Carter. ? The festival features ten renowned makers from the mid-Atlantic and New England regions, including Jen Allen, Terry Plaskett, Brian Chen, Lisa Naples, Lindsay Oesterritter, Brenda Quinn, Taylor Sijan, Dallas Wooten, Eric Rempe, and Ben Carter.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a pottery enthusiast, or simply curious about the world of ceramics, this two-day celebration promises something for everyone. Explore a diverse array of functional, decorative, and sculptural pottery, all available for purchase directly from the artists. ?

Handmade Hopewell - A Makers Street Fair

A small, but mighty unique and highly curated makers street fair. Upwards of 60 makers, artisans, and craftspeople fill Seminary Avenue of Hopewell Borough offering a wide variety of goods including textiles, home goods, paintings, ceramics and much more!

Kite Day, Terhune Orchards

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store. Or better yet, make your own “guaranteed to fly” kite. Whichever you choose, test fly your kite in our wide-open 10-acre pasture with all the farm animals looking on. The farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and children can take home a piece of real fleece. On Saturday, the Princeton Morris Dancers will perform traditional May Day dances. Enjoy live music 1-4pm each day.

Admission is $15 in advance or $18 the day of (ages 3 and up).

Teddy Bear Picnic with PJ Library
