Fishing poles and fishing assistance will be provided on a limited basis at Rosedale Park from 9am–noon. No freshwater license is required on this day.

Nearly forty farms and vendors are represented with offerings including seasonal Jersey Fresh produce, mushrooms, sustainably caught seafood, poultry, pastured eggs, freshly milled oats, pickles, sauces, jams, fresh pasta, goats milk products, cheese, breads, baked goods, pastries, pastured meats, vegan savory and sweets, Lebanese salads, Eastern European favorites, Indian simmer sauces and prepared meals, alpaca fiber wear, vegan chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, as well as on-site food trucks with crepes, fresh pressed juices, hot and iced coffee and teas.

Held at the Vaughn Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, with plenty of free parking, this gathering space for folks who love good food is known for its wide assortment of offerings and welcoming atmosphere.

Fall Book Sale, Hunterdon County Historical Society

The nonprofit Hunterdon County Historical Society will conduct a fall book sale on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside its Archive Building, 67 River Road in Raritan Township.

The sale will feature a wide selection of books about townships in Hunterdon County; the history of New Jersey and other states; biographies; volumes on the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War II, antiques, old barns and homes, and much more. The sale includes reproductions of historic maps and posters. Arrive early for the best selection.

Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 20. Cash or check is preferred. All proceeds benefit the Hunterdon County Historical Society and its mission to preserve, protect and share Hunterdon County’s history.

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Kids Concert, Princeton University Concerts

Princeton University Concerts ("PUC") welcomes The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center ("CMS") back to Princeton for the first family program of the 2024-25 season— "CMS Kids: Tuneful Travels," curated for kids ages 3-6 and their families. Performances will take place on Saturday, October 19 at 1PM and 3PM in the Lee Rehearsal Room at the Lewis Arts Complex. Host Rami Vamos and the professional musicians of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will guide audiences through a magical journey where music for piano, violin, and bassoon becomes a vibrant expression of joy and movement. Audiences will experience music ranging from the gentle sway of slow melodies to the lively rhythm of fast tunes. This inclusive concert experience is adapted for neurodiverse audiences, including children with autism or other special needs. The performance is presented in a judgment-free environment, and is less formal and more supportive of sensory, communication, movement, and learning needs.

Tickets for Princeton University Concerts' family programs go quickly and are only $5 for children and $10 for adults. Tickets are available at puc.princeton.edu, or by phone at 609-258-9220 (Mon-Fri, 11AM-4PM). Discounted tickets are available to members of the Admit All ticket access program; adults can attend for $5 and bring up to four children for free. Admit All members must call the PUC office at 609-258-2800 to take advantage of this offer.
