West Windsor Community Farmers' Market

Nearly forty farms and vendors are represented with offerings including seasonal Jersey Fresh produce, mushrooms, sustainably caught seafood, poultry, pastured eggs, freshly milled oats, pickles, sauces, jams, fresh pasta, goats milk products, cheese, breads, baked goods, pastries, pastured meats, vegan savory and sweets, Lebanese salads, Eastern European favorites, Indian simmer sauces and prepared meals, alpaca fiber wear, vegan chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, as well as on-site food trucks with crepes, fresh pressed juices, hot and iced coffee and teas.

Held at the Vaughn Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, with plenty of free parking, this gathering space for folks who love good food is known for its wide assortment of offerings and welcoming atmosphere.

Community Yard Sale, YWCA Princeton

YWCA Princeton is excited to announce their first ever Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday August 17th (rain date Sunday August 18th) from 10 am to 4 pm at the YMCA/YWCA field located at 59 Paul Robeson Place in Princeton. In collaboration with Princeton Human Services and Sustainable Princeton, this yard sale is not your average shopping event; it is a celebration of sustainability, community spirit, and economic accessibility.

This event is free to the public and will feature a wide array of gently used clothing, toys, and back to school necessities. Vendor applications are still being accepted! Canning Day, Howell Living History Farm

Visit Howell Farm this Saturday to learn the ins and outs of canning... and help us prepare and "put up" summer produce for use in the fall and winter months. We'll be using equipment you can get at the store—and also showing off some of our antiques—so you'll know the process whether you're using modern Mason jars or some antiques from Grandma's cellar.

Nature Walk: Exploring Life Around Mountain Lake, FOPOS

Friends Of Princeton Open Space 

Join us for a nature walk around the lake at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. We'll observe the great diversity of life at the Preserve with possible sightings of eastern painted turtles, great blue herons, beavers, salamanders, and crayfish. Learn about various plant species and habitat restoration projects aimed at preserving native flora. After our walk, we’ll head inside the Mountain Lakes House to delve into the world of lake life collected during our walk. Using field microscopes, we'll explore the diversity of plants & waterbugs and discover their role as indicators of ecosystem health.

Hopewell Kids Photography Exhibit, Gallery 14

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune Orchards

Join family and friends for our winery weekend music series. Set in our wine orchard among 100 year old apple trees, it is the perfect way to relax, connect, and toast the weekend. Enjoy a glass of one of our award-winning wines, by the glass, in a tasting flight or a refreshing wine slush. Sit back and listen to live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. Music is from 2pm-5pm.

Light fare available. Bring the entire family to enjoy fresh air on the farm, stop in the farm store for fresh produce, baked goods and local gourmet items, and stroll on the farm. Barn Door Cafe is open on weekends for lunch fare, homemade treats and ice cream. Winery hours 12pm-5pm. No outside food or pets please. No reservations needed for less than 8 people. Preserving the Tomato Harvest, Cherry Grove Farm

This is a hands-on workshop in which you will learn how to preserve tomatoes for cooking, for sauce and all your saucy culinary needs. We will be canning a delicious pasta sauce for a ready to eat meal. Lydia will give you lots of tips and tricks for various ways to preserve tomatoes and how you can apply some of the same methods for putting up other fruits and vegetables. All materials will be provided and you will take home a jar of tomato sauce that you have made.
