Guided Walking Tour, Yardley Historical Association

The Yardley Historical Association will host a guided walking tour of Rivermawr, the town’s northern neighborhood that lies between the Delaware River and the Delaware Canal, on Thursday, June 27 at 2 p.m. The tour will begin at the intersection of Morgan and Fuld Avenues in Yardley Borough. Susan Taylor, president of the Historical Association, will lead the one-mile walk. What remains of the original bungalows that were built with summer vacationers in mind will be seen; the story of the Mary Yardley footbridge over the Canal will be told; the effects of flooding on the area will be explained; and Vince Profy, Yardley historian and long-time Rivermawr resident, will share his experiences. He does have some good stories.

Fireworks, Montgomery Township

This year's event will be held on Thursday, June 27 on the front lawn of Montgomery High School (1016 Rt 601). Festivities begin at 6pm with vendors, music and games/activities for children. The fireworks are once again funded by contributions from individuals, corporations, and small businesses, plus fees from our local vendors, making this a true community event. If you would like to make a donation or become a sponsor please let us know.
