How to Create a Large Native Plant Garden, Hopewell Library

Through a step-by-step visual timeline, attendees will learn how to create a large native plant garden. We'll learn how to collect and sort seeds, when to and how to sow those seeds in winter, and how to prepare a plot. By playing a fun Native Plant Party Game, attendees will become familiar with the appearance of native plants, and the ways that they support native food webs. Participants will also learn about the Lenni Lenape's uses for native plants, from pre-colonial times up to today.

Enjoy pony rides, pedal and play tractors, children’s games & activities, visit the Corn Stalk Maze and Hay Bale Maze, Adventure Story Barn, our barnyard of farm animals and so much more farm fun.

Fall Clean Up Day at the Princeton Battlefield

The Princeton Battlefield Society (PBS) invites interested local citizens and their families to come to their annual Fall Clean Up Day; enjoy the autumn weather and help keep Princeton Battlefield in great condition for future visitors.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 14, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Princeton Battlefield State Park located at 500 Mercer Street. Garden tools and gloves will be available to use for clean-up tasks although, please feel free to bring your own. In this workshop we will be using colorful wool fibers to create a small felted bowl. No previous experience is necessary, it's a perfect project for beginners! You will learn about an ancient craft by creating a unique handmade piece.
