Guided Bird Walk with Winnie Hughes Spar, Friends of Princeton Open Space

The first bird walk will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10th at 8:00am. Together, we will wall the Preserve and observe Princeton's birds and learn about their fascinating habits! Sign up online. Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers’ Market

Hunterdon Land Trust opens a new Farmers’ Market season Sunday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dvoor Farm, 111 Mine St. in Flemington. The producers’-only market will run every Sunday through Nov. 19. Shoppers will find organic fruits and vegetables, all-natural meats, fresh-baked breads, cave-ripened cheeses, pies, plants, flowers, wine and more.

Most farmers accept credit cards. Parking is free and easily accessible.

Doylestown Arts Festival

On Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, downtown Doylestown transforms into an immersive art and music venue. Designed to illuminate the region’s ongoing commitment to arts and culture, the Doylestown Arts Festival features 150+ juried artists, live music on 5 stages, live art and interactive demonstrations. The festival is free to attend. On Sunday, the Bucks County Classic joins in with high speed pro-bike races surrounding town. The Doylestown Arts Festival is organized by Discover Doylestown and made possible by The Thompson Organization.

Outdoor Yoga, Friends of Princeton Open Space

Join FOPOS for a donation-based outdoor yoga class on Sunday, Sept. 10th at 10am. During this one-hour yoga class, Alisha Fowler (RYT 200) will lead you through an all-levels ashtanga-inspired flow, pairing breath and movement. As we do yoga together, we will take in the beautiful setting of the outdoors by Mountain Lakes House. This class is donation-based and we kindly suggest a contribution of $10 or more. All donations support Friends of Princeton Open Space. Get tickets.

Paneer Making, Cooking & Eating, Cherry Grove Farm

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to make fresh homemade paneer by curdling milk; how to press your paneer and cut it into cubes; and then how to incorporate this paneer into an authentic North Indian dish called shahi paneer. As an extra bonus, Sandeep and Nalini Agarwal will show you how to make a delicious mango lassi. We will end by feasting together on shahi paneer, cumin rice, garlic naan and mango lassi. You will take home the paneer you have made and a hand-out on how to make paneer with more paneer recipes.

Princeton History Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, University Chapel and Palmer Square. Hear some of the classic history and lesser-known stories of Princeton’s diverse past.
