The Helene Cody Cranbury 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is held on a flat and fast course in the tree-lined streets and parks of Cranbury, NJ. The 5K is chip-timed and takes place on a USATF-certified course with a water station that is passed twice. It is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels, from elite runners looking to score a personal record to those who want to try a 5K for the first time. The 1 Mile Fun Run takes place in Heritage Park, making it a great race for walkers, beginner runners, and kids of all ages and their parents.
The post-race celebration at Heritage Park will have a DJ, drinks, bagels, and fruit. Raffle prizes will be awarded to lucky race participants. Participants of either race receive a custom water bottle with their race packet. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers overall and in each age group for the 5K (age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 & up). Every 1 Mile Fun Run finisher will receive a medal and trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers. The Cranbury Day celebration will begin immediately after the race on Main Street.
The races start and finish at Heritage Park in Cranbury, with parking available at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury and The Cranbury Inn. Registration begins at 7:30 AM, the 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8:15 AM, and the 5K begins at 9:00 AM. The cost to register in advance is $25 (+ processing fee) for the 5K and $20 (+ processing fee) for the 1 Mile Fun Run. All are welcome to participate, including walkers and strollers. Online registration closes on Wednesday, September 7th. If you miss online registration, you can still register in-person the morning of the race for an additional fee (+ $5.00 per race).

It’s all about local food and seasonality at the West Windsor Farmers Market! This year’s season kicks off on May 7th and running every Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm, the market will be filled with local farmers and artisan food producers, including a knife sharpener, all from within fifty miles of West Windsor to celebrate the bounty of New Jersey. This season’s roster includes nearly fifty farms and vendors, several with a rotating schedule, including a baker under the new NJ Cottage Rule.

This mindfulness-themed outdoor story time at Community Park North Amphitheatre is part of the Mayor's Wellness Campaign Community Health Initiative.
Connect with nature, your mind, body and emotions at Community Park North Amphitheatre. We will share books, songs, rhymes and activities focusing on various aspects of mindfulness and nature. For children ages 3-8 and their families. After story time, families are encouraged to explore the nearby walking trails in Community Park North.

Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County annual 2022 Insect Festival will be on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Mercer Educational Gardens, 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township. The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free and on-site parking is available. This year’s festival, themed “Bugs Need Homes, Too!” will feature the importance of providing and supporting habitats for the incredible insects common to the Northeast.
