Gold Ribbon Strides - NJ - 2022 Walk for Childhood Cancer

The Youth chapter of Access Life America is proud to host it annual Gold Ribbon Strides FUN 5K walk/run event in Princeton, New Jersey. This is a great way for you to support the cause of childhood cancer, and kick off your summer season with a healthy, fun outdoor event! The funds raised through this competition helps kids battling Cancer. Registration fee is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your registration or if you are unable to attend the event for any reason. No winners for this event. Run/Walk will not be tracked/timed.

West Windsor Community Farmers' Market

It’s all about local food and seasonality at the West Windsor Farmers Market! This year’s season kicks off on May 7th and running every Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm, the market will be filled with local farmers and artisan food producers, including a knife sharpener, all from within fifty miles of West Windsor to celebrate the bounty of New Jersey. This season’s roster includes nearly fifty farms and vendors, several with a rotating schedule, including a baker under the new NJ Cottage Rule.

The WWCFM accepts SNAP/EBT and offers matching incentives towards fruit & vegetable purchases (up to $20 per market day). Tai Chi by the River, Washington Crossing State Park NJ

Join us for Tai Chi with our steadfast volunteers and beloved teachers Lisa and Robert! They'll be leading classes by the River for all levels on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Wear comfy clothes, no mat required.

Find us on River Drive in the lower park, in front of the main parking lot. Classes are free, however donations are deeply appreciated!

22nd Annual Butterfly Festival, The Watershed Institute

Join us for our 22nd Annual Butterfly Festival on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Many of our treasured activities and events are in the offing! We will have our Insect Zoo, Butterfly and Bug Parade, and tours of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House. There will be food trucks, live entertainment, live music, kids' games & crafts, and many vendors. Our Nature Shop will be stocked with everything your little butterfly or bug may need.

Preregistration is required. We will have time slots from 10 a.m. to noon, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free for members! Please consider becoming a member today and help us keep our water clean, safe and healthy!

Peach Festival, Terhune Orchards

It’s all about Peaches at Terhune Orchards’ Just Peachy Festival on August 6 & 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Summer at Terhune orchards means peaches. Enjoy the summer bounty with our harvest festival as we celebrate "everything peachy." The Just Peachy Festival features a weekend full of family friendly fun included in admission! Families visit our barnyard of animals, walk the farm trail and play on our pedal and play tractors. Kids can enjoy interactive, hands-on fun in the Discovery Barn, Little Tots Farm Store and Junior Mechanics Shop, a scavenger hunt and old-fashioned games. (additional charge for pony rides and rubber duck races – so much fun to be had!) Included in admission, visitors can enjoy an “Eyes of the Wild” show both days at 12:45 and 2:00 p.m. This educational traveling zoo program features live animals that are sure to captivate children and adults alike.

Back-to-School Readiness Fair, Thomas Edison State University and Mercer Street Friends

Tisha B'Av Observance, Adath Israel Congregation

Come observe Tisha B'Av, which marks the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, beginning at 7:30pm with Seudah Shelishit, the light third meal of Shabbat, followed by a study session on themes of the commemoration. There is no cost but please RSVP to the Adath Israel Synagogue office. The Tisha B'Av evening service, including the reading of the Book of Eicha, Lamentations, begins at 9:00pm.

Movie Night @ Mercer Park - Soul

Pack up your blankets and chairs for a movie under the stars at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Doors for the movie will open at 7:30 p.m. The movie will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. after sunset. Parking and admission are free.
