As we age, changes in our vision, flexibility, strength, range of motion and even height may require modifications to our vehicles to help us feel more confident and comfortable behind the wheel. The CarFit program helps make vehicle adjustments to better "fit" the driver, which will provide more comfort and better control of your vehicle. In addition, a trained Princeton Health CarFit technician will take the driver through an observation and questionnaire session. Participants are requested to drive their own vehicles to this event. We are pleased to partner with the American Automobile Association and AARP to provide this service.

Lichens are amazing organisms that come in a variety of shapes and colors. Plus they have fun common names like hammered shields, tree flutes, and star-tipped reindeer lichen. Join Assistant Director of Education, Pat Heaney, and Watershed Educator, Vicky Allen, to learn more about these interesting symbiotic life forms. We will use magnifiers to get a closer look at their structure and function, and try to identify some common species. If you have a 10x magnifying loupe, feel free to bring it.

Kite Day is a perfect time to explore the farm during our spring festival - Saturday, April 30 & Sunday, May 1 - 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Spring on the farm is one of the most beautiful and exciting seasons. Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store. Or better yet, make a “guaranteed to fly” kite.
The farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend featuring Tookany Creek on Saturday and Chickens N Such on Sunday. For all those hungry kite fliers, we’ll have lots of good country food. Adults can enjoy a visit to our Wine Orchard where Terhune’s own 18 varieties of wine are available for tasting under the 100 year old apple trees.
There will be plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and the children can take home a piece of real fleece. Join in the fun of old-fashioned games and children’s activities in the barnyard or take a pony ride out in the field. Admission $12 Online/$15 At Gate (age 3 and up).
