The Vegetarian Diet, Wellness Wednesdays Presents

Join Het Desai-Shah, Ph.D. candidate in Nutritional Sciences as she discusses the benefits of vegetarian diets. The effects of vegetarian diets far exceed the well-known nutritional benefits on one’s health. Research shows that eating a more plant-based diet can also lower carbon footprint and global warming. The aim of this session is to discuss why and how we can eat more plant-based foods.

The author and investigative reporter is joined in conversation about his book "Twilight in Hazard – An Appalachian Reckoning" by Joe Stephens, director of Princeton Univ.'s Program in Journalism. From investigate reporter and Pulitzer Prize finalist Alan Maimon comes the story of how a perfect storm of events has had a devastating impact on life in small town Appalachia and on the soul of a shaken nation. Maimon is joined in discussion by the Director of Princeton University’s Program in Journalism, Joe Stephens.

The Amazing Pumpkin Carve - Drive-Thru

7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Forty colossal pumpkins will be carved and electrified by area artists and displayed in a twinkling drive-thru. $25 per car. Through October 10.
