The three blind mice? Goldilocks and the three bears? Or does the Big Bad Wolf have some other tricks up his sleeve?

Insect Orchestra Night, The Watershed

Deep summer nights are alive with a rich and omnipresent orchestra of insects. Join Jeff Hoagland, Director of Education, for this hike to meet the members of this nocturnal orchestra, gaining an appreciation and understanding of the beauty and urgency of their musical presentations. Some of the performers may include the snowy tree cricket, ground crickets and bush crickets, the true katydid, the slightly musical conehead, and more!

Ages 6 and up. In-person program. Adult attendance required; masks and social distancing encouraged. Discount available for members.

Kusama-Infinity - Outdoor Art Film, Woolsey Park

Bring your folding chair or a blanket to view artful movies under the stars on a gigantic screen at Woolsey Park on Friday, July 30 at 8:30pm. Kusama-Infinity explores artist Yayoi Kusama’s journey from a conservative upbringing in Japan, to her brush with fame in America during the 1960’s, and the international fame she finally achieved within the artworld. With her hallucinations of polka dots, Kusama spent the last 30 years leaving in a mental institution in Japan. Run time: 1 hour 20 minutes Rated: PG-13

Popcorn & beverages will be available for sale. Picnicking is welcome (with take-home trash removal).
