Kick off your 2021 by getting creative with your family! Artists of all ages are welcome, but projects are best suited for those ages 5-13, and their grown-ups. As always, Art Together is free and you can stay as long as you like. Can’t join us at that time? Maple Sugaring - The Watershed

Join Pat Heaney, Assistant Director of Education, and discover the history, folklore, and science of maple sugaring. During this hour-long, outdoor program you will visit our maple trees, find out how we tap them using drills and spiles, and try a sample of sweet maple sugar. Ages 5 and up. Dress for the weather of the day; wear your boots. Masks, social distancing, and adult attendance required. Discount available for members.

Beginner Mind-Body Yoga and Meditation Flows with Shefali, WWAC

Join WWAC Board Member, Shefali Shah, in a series of Yoga and Meditation Flows for Beginners. In each class, we will focus on both yoga flow and meditation to bring awareness of mind and body together. By combining scientific principles from different disciplines and weaving in her passion for dance, Shefali is focused on providing a holistic experience and education to her students. Using both live and recorded instruction, Shefali will provide a personal guided experience to ensure safe and beneficial participation. All proceeds from this series will go towards supporting the West Windsor Arts Council.

Black Holes – IAS Family Science Talk

Virtual talk on Zoom for children 10 and up and their families

Black holes are perhaps the most puzzling prediction of Einstein’s theory of relativity. They squash all matter to a point, trap light, stop time, and cause some of the most violent explosions in the cosmos. Recently, scientists have been able to “hear” the collisions of black holes, and even “see” a massive black hole in a far away galaxy.
