Corn Husk Dolls Virtual Craft Kit, The Watershed

Modern technology meets an old fashioned pastime for this fun autumn craft. Learn how children of the past made dolls and other toys out of corn husks. Pick up your kit of supplies from The Watershed Institute and then join us for a virtual crafting session on November 21 where Watershed Educators will show you how to transform your corn husks into dolls. Kits are limited, so order yours today! For ages 10 and up. Crafting lesson with Watershed Educators will be held via Zoom.

Off the Wall Holiday Market, West Windsor Arts Council

Art lovers will be able to explore handcrafted items by local artisans in the areas of apothecary, ceramics/potter, fiber/textile, glass items, jewelry, journals/note cards, and more. The juried show features almost 50 artists with work priced at $400 or less.

The Holiday Market takes place on three Saturdays in November 2020: November 7, November 14, and November 21. Selected items will be open to the public on these days from 10 am to 4 pm. The Spirituality of Laughter, Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor

Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor presents, "The Spirituality of Laughter" with Rabbi and Comedian Bob Alper. Explore humor in ancient and modern Jewish tradition, and why laughter has been such an integral part of Jewish culture.

Bob Alper has appeared on Comedy Central, Good Morning America and Showtime and is the world's only practicing clergyman doing stand-up comedy intentionally. This engaging and inspiring event will be held virtually via Zoom. The cost for the event is $18 per person (single viewer), $36 per family (2 or more viewers/one household) and a special 'Belly Laugh' Level for $54. Belly Laugh includes a family registration, an intimate Q&A session with Rabbi Alper, plus a copy of his book, Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This. Additional copies of Bob Alper's book are available for $18 each.
