Homeschool Nature Class, The Watershed

Children, ages 6-9 & ages 10-13, $15 per class as a drop-in participant

This semester will focus on survival basics such as shelter, fire, water, cordage and knots, navigation, what not to wear and a survival challenge day. Dress for the weather because we always go outside.

Preschool Nature Class, The Watershed

Get wild with us as we learn about a variety of nature topics! Each class includes outdoor exploration, stories and a craft. Dress for the weather because we always go outside. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Toddler Nature Class, The Watershed

Start instilling a love of nature in your child with our Toddler Nature Classes. We provide a fun introduction to animals, plants and nature in general. You and your toddler will enjoy a song, a story and a walk outside. Dress for the weather because we always go outside. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In search of a new perspective, a family of five leave the comforts of home to live remotely in the Yukon wilderness during the long northern winter and amidst the surprises that the rawness of nature provide. The parents leave their jobs and take their three children, ages 10, 8 and 4, to spend nine months living in a small cabin with no road access, no electricity, no running water, and no internet, no TV, no phone and, most importantly, no clocks or watches.
