The Magical Library of Miss. Miriam Buttersham, Kelsey Theatre

Princeton Battlefield Society's Annual Commemoration of Memorial Day

The Princeton Battlefield Society's annual commemoration of Memorial Day on Saturday, May 24, will take place following the Spirit of Princeton's Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony at the Washington Monument (end of Nassau Street at Route 206).

Reenactors from Spencer's Additional Continental Regiment and the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment will be at the Princeton Battlefield State Park from 1:30 p.m.to 3 p.m. to talk and interact with visitors and, at the Mercer Monument, to memorialize those men and women who laid their lives to guarantee our nation's freedoms.

History/Nature Hike at Institute Woods, Historical Society of Princeton

Join us on a hike through the treasured Institute Woods to explore bits of history, as well as the sites and sounds that form this unique and serene setting. Hear stories about the Woods’ origin and the ways IAS mathematicians, physicists, and other members have engaged with it. Stops along the way will highlight the history of early Stony Brook, the Battle of Princeton, the Old Trolley trail, the establishment of the Institute for Advanced Study, and Founders Rock. We will make a special stop at the infamous Swinging Bridge, then hike over to the observation decks at the adjacent Rogers Wildlife Refuge. Along the way, there will be moments to observe, engage, and identify the different varieties of birds, plants, trees, and everything in between! Please note: This is a moderate to advanced hike. Trails may be muddy/slippery. Comfortable hiking boots/shoes, water, and insect repellent are recommended.

Princeton Reunion Fireworks

Reunions fireworks can be seen from almost anywhere on campus, but they’re extra special viewed from Princeton Stadium and choreographed to music. Arrive by 8 p.m. to catch a concert under the skies by the Princeton University Orchestra.
