There will be a Boater's Safety course offered at the Caspersen Rowing Center on Sunday, March 2 from 10:00am - 6:00pm. If you are a Mercer parent/fan or a rowing/boating enthusiast, the best way to watch races is from the water. We need volunteers to drive the referee boats for each home race which requires having boater safety certification. The course is run by the Coast Boating School and will cover general boating safety rules and regulations. There is no on-the-water training during this course. There will be separate on-the-water instruction before the first race.
Please note that anyone applying to be a Head Coach for the Mercer Summer Learn to Row camps will need to have their boater safety certification. Email Hilary to get more information and put your name on the list!
