In Person Shadow Day, Villa Victoria Academy

Thinking about making a change for this year or next year? Middle school and high school in-person classes are offered to those girls wanting to be a Villa girl for the day and learn more about our program. Shadow day spots are limited so register early.

Visitors will spend the day with a Villa ambassador in the appropriate grade. Parents tours are also available that day at 8 am and 1:15 pm.

Lunch & Learn: Long-Distance Caregivers, CMAP

The Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP) is proud to announce a special Lunch & Learn: Long-Distance Caregivers event, happening on Friday, February 21, from noon to 1:00 p.m. This free hybrid event, held both in-person at CMAP’s Nancy S. Klath Center for Lifelong Learning location and via Zoom, honors National Caregivers’ Day by providing essential support and resources for those caring for loved ones from afar.

Long-distance caregiving presents unique challenges, often leaving caregivers feeling overwhelmed with concerns about their loved ones' well-being, coupled with feelings of guilt and helplessness. This workshop, led by Chris Kellogg of NightengaleNJ, will explore practical tools, local resources, and proven strategies to help caregivers maintain their loved ones' dignity and independence while finding peace of mind for themselves.

Pezz Glassworks Workshop: Make Your Own Cup, ACP

Feel the thrill of manipulating 2,000-degree molten glass during a one-on-one glass blowing class! During your 50-minute session, Pezz Glasswork instructors will lead you through the process of creating your very own glass class. We will provide all supplies and tools needed – no experience necessary. Must be 13 years or older to blow glass. Must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian if under 18 years old.

Are you interested in learning how to play a guitar? Maybe you already play, but would you like a chance to share your musical interests with others? We will learn some basic chords, practice strum patterns, and work towards playing some simple songs. Players of all experience levels are welcome in this slow-paced, no judgement environment. It is highly recommended that participants bring their own instruments, if possible. However, a small number of instruments will be available.?Librarian Neil will lead the event. Bringing Bourbon Street to Broad Street

IAS Community Stargazing

Please join us for a night of astronomy and stargazing. Lia Medeiros, computational high-energy astrophysicist and former Member in the School of Natural Sciences at the Institute, will give a lecture in Wolfensohn Hall at 5:30 p.m.. Immediately following the talk, Lia and volunteers from the local community will guide us in using telescopes to watch the night sky on the South Lawn.

Art of Indian Music with Rashika Ranchan, West Windsor Arts

Indian music is rich in cultural heritage and its diverse forms. It encompasses different genres, such as Hindustani, Classical, Gazal, Bhajan, Folk, Thumri, Sufi and Film music. This is a uniquely designed program. The performance, with remarks and a singing demo, is a unique opportunity to experience the musicality of these 7 genres of music- all in one place, including embracing South Asian and Global influences. It will also present some genres in Film (Bollywood) music. The talk will be engaging with several melodious compositions by Rashika. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

A Night at the Opera, Princeton University Sinfonia

Dr. Ruth Ochs and the Princeton University Sinfonia will present A Night at the Opera, an evening of excerpts from operas by Bizet, Mozart, Rossini, Delibes, and Rimsky-Korsakov. The program also features new works by students Kasey Shao '25 and Julia Young '27; Clara Conatser '25 will play movements from Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 3. Singers from the University's Glee Club Opera Scenes (David Kellett, director) and the Clarinet Ensemble
