David Brearley Fun Run, Lawrence Historical Society

Participants will enjoy a 5k run between the Brearley House and Port Mercer Canal House along the scenic Delaware and Raritan Canal. The event is being held in honor of the 279th birthday of David Brearley, an architect of the US Constitution and native of Lawrence Township. Book and Baked Goods Sale, Hopewell Public Library

Nearly forty farms and vendors are represented with offerings including seasonal Jersey Fresh produce, mushrooms, sustainably caught seafood, poultry, pastured eggs, freshly milled oats, pickles, sauces, jams, fresh pasta, goats milk products, cheese, breads, baked goods, pastries, pastured meats, vegan savory and sweets, Lebanese salads, Eastern European favorites, Indian simmer sauces and prepared meals, alpaca fiber wear, vegan chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, as well as on-site food trucks with crepes, fresh pressed juices, hot and iced coffee and teas.

Held at the Vaughn Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, with plenty of free parking, this gathering space for folks who love good food is known for its wide assortment of offerings and welcoming atmosphere.

Old Time Baseball Game, Howell Farm

Take to the field with the Bulls or the Hogs and play ball! Howell Farm's two teams play by 19th-century Town Ball rules, and invite visitors of all ages to step up to the plate as "Striker" and face off against the "Thrower." But be careful of the Referee, who sits in a chair on the field and charges fines of up to 5 cents for breaking the rules! 11:00 a.m. – Watch the Flemington Neshanocks face off against the Elizabeth Resolutes in a historic baseball club match 1:30 p.m. – Join Howell Farm's own Hogs and Bulls for a public game on the farmhouse lawn.

Historic Jugtown Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

Join historian Clifford Zink and architect Cathy Knight for a tour of Princeton’s third oldest neighborhood, the Jugtown Historic District. First called Queenston, the area started as a crossroads settlement around 1730. View the architectural evolution of the neighborhood, while enjoying some stories of people who lived and worked here. Locations will include the site of the potteries that gave Jugtown its name, the attempted women’s college in Princeton, and the quarries that supplied stone for the construction of many of Princeton’s buildings.

Tour starts in front of the Hook and Ladder Co. firehouse, 27 N. Harrison Street. Copies of the new Jugtown/Queenston booklet will be available to purchase at the printing cost of $10.
