Kite Day, Terhune Orchards

Performance: ABC-XYZ by Lucilla Trapazzo and Alessandro Olla, Princeton Public Library

Lucilla Trapazzo and Alessandro Olla perform ABC-XYZ and explore the connections between contemporary music and poetry during this brunch event. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for coffee and pastries. This poetry brunch is presented in advance of the upcoming season of The Princeton Festival which will run from June 7-22.

May Tea Fundraiser, Old Barracks Museum

The Old Barracks Museum is hosting May Tea, a semi-formal tea service with all proceeds benefiting the museum's operating expenses. The event will take place on Sunday, May 5th from 12-2pm. Tickets cost $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers. With a purchase of a ticket, the service will include a variety of teas, finger sandwiches, and pastries as well as a teacup that can be taken home with you.

Seats are limited and tickets will likely sell out quickly. Teacup color will vary and cannot be reserved; additional teacups are available for purchase in the shop. Brunch attire is suggested, and don't forget to wear your best hat for a chance to win a prize in the hat contest! This fundraiser recalls the Pink Tea, a fundraiser of the Old Barracks Association in 1901. Tickets can be purchased on our website at www.barracks.org/maytea

Princeton’s White City: Broadmead - A Jane’s Walk in Princeton NJ

Join us at Prospect Avenue & Broadmead at 1:00 on May 5, 2024, to discover the history of Princeton’s White City, built just after 1900 by Moses Taylor Pyne to serve as Princeton University faculty housing. Walking: approximately one hour.

Jane’s Walk was founded in Toronto in 2006 by a group of Jane Jacobs’ friends and colleagues as a way to honor her life and activate her ideas. Over the next decade, the movement grew and by 2017, 1,700 Jane’s Walks took place in 225 cities around the world, spanning 37 countries and 6 continents. Today Jane’s Walks take place in over 500 cities. This is the second Jane’s Walk in Princeton, NJ, following one held in 2016.

Family Photo Shoot & Flower Pot Workshop, The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie

We will take family photos with our lovely spring-themed hall as the background, and then paint a colorful flower pot to take home. What a creative way to create a springtime memory! John Singer Sargent: Fashion & Swagger - Art on Screen, Princeton Garden Theatre

Through interviews with curators, contemporary fashionistas, and style influencers, this documentary examines how Sargent's unique practice has influenced modern art, culture, and fashion. Nunsense, Kelsey Theatre

After a bad batch of vichyssoise killed off fifty-two of the Little Sisters of Hoboken, the survivors emptied the coffers to bury the deceased, but ran out of cash before the last few bodies could be laid to rest! (Don’t worry – they’re in the kitchen freezer!). To raise funds they decide to put on a variety show. Will their prayers be answered before the health department discovers their secret? With hilarious talent acts, tongue-in-cheek musical numbers, and help from the audience, the show – the 3rd longest running Off-Broadway musical -- will tickle your fancy. $26/$24

35th Anniversary Reunion Concert, Boheme Opera NJ

The event will be held at Hillman Performance Hall on the Princeton Campus of Westminster Choir College at Rider University - 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton, NJ 08540.
