Spring Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

Join family and friends for our winery weekend music series this Spring. Set in our wine orchard among 100-year-old apple trees, it is the perfect way to relax, connect, and toast the new season. Enjoy a glass of one of our award-winning wines, sit back, and listen to live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. The music is from 1 pm-4 pm. Light fare available. Bring the entire family to enjoy fresh air on the farm, stop in the farm store for fresh produce, baked goods, and local gourmet items, and stroll on the farm. Barn Door Cafe is open on weekends for lunch fare, homemade treats, and ice cream. Winery hours 12 pm-5 pm. No outside food or pets, please. Almost all of the dogs are adopted from shelters, rescue groups, or found as strays, and they are all individually owned and loved by their trainers as they are family first!

Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, University Chapel and Palmer Square. Hear some of the classic history and lesser-known stories of Princeton’s diverse past. Princeton Battle Monument Princeton Battle Monument Tickets are $15. Advance purchase is required. Tour starts in the courtyard of the Princeton Battle Monument (GPS address: 1 Monument Drive). Please note: Space on this tour is limited to 24 participants. The number of available tickets will be listed under “Spaces” below. If there is not a box visible, then there is only one ticket remaining. Due to limited tour size, we cannot accommodate last minute add-ons at the start of the tour.

Spring Opera: Enemies, A Love Story, Rider University

Enemies is an opera in two acts by composer Ben Moore and librettist Nahma Sandrow, based on the novel by Isaac Bashevis Singer. The work premiered at Palm Beach Opera in 2015 to critical acclaim and standing ovations. Fred Plotkin (WQXR) called it “an important new work that will find its place among those works that audiences will be moved by...”; the Wall Street Journal praised its "soaring Puccinian lines, folk tunes and klezmer melodies"; the Financial Times noted the “taut libretto” and “arresting combination of breeziness on the surface and darkness underneath”; and Edge Media Network called 'Tamara's Aria' "a piece that is likely to become a permanent part in the dramatic soprano/mezzo-soprano repertory alongside 'To This We've Come' from Menotti's 'The Consul' and 'La Mamma Morta' from Giordano's 'Andrea Chenier'.”

IL Sorriso di Caterina/Caterina's Smile, Dorothea's House

Carlo Vecce, a professor at Orientale University in Naples and renowned scholar in the life and works of Leonardo da Vinci, talks about his novel, "Il Sorriso di Caterina" (Caterina's Smile), which recounts, through a combination of fact and imaginative fiction, the story of how Leonardo's mother was kidnapped from the Caucasus area of Central Asia and moved to Florence, then Vinci, as a slave. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to share at a post-program reception. Free.
