Winter Farmers' Market, Hinds Plaza

The Princeton Farmers Market began in 2009 with the idea of bringing healthy, locally produced food and goods right into the center of Princeton. Taking place downtown on Hinds Plaza for many years, our goal is to build a vibrant community that supports local agriculture, small business, a healthier environment and a more sustainable future. This Winter market goers can enjoy shopping for locally grown produce, pasture raised meat and eggs, fresh baked breads, homemade treats and unique, handmade gifts! Native Plant Sale, D&R Greenway

The public is invited to welcome spring by visiting the Native Plant Nursery at the Johnson Education Center during D&R Greenway's Spring 2024 native plant sale, Thursday, April 25, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Friday, April 26, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 27, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

D&R Greenway's stewardship team and volunteers will be on hand to help visitors choose the perfect plants that will flourish in different garden soils and conditions. All sales are in person this year and visitors are invited to spend some time to enjoy the beauty of nature by exploring the grounds surrounding the Johnson Education Center and walking the labyrinth.

Tea: Drink to Your Health!, Mercer County Library

Functional Foods for Life program focused on the most popular drink in the world, tea. Research on tea from the Camellia sinensis plant has included the study of a variety of polyphenol compounds including epigallocatechin 3- gallate (EGCG), theaflavins, and thearubigins, as well as other compounds found in tea. Population studies have indicated possible protective effects from tea consumption in specific chronic diseases. Join us to learn about the history, culture and these potential health benefits of tea. Presented by Sherri Cirignano, MS, RDN, LDN, FCHS Educator and Associate Professor, Warren County. Neurodivergent Crafts and Games, Princeton Public Library

Neurodivergent young people are invited to bring along a favorite game and/or a current project project from home to work on, and socialize and/or enjoy companionable silence with other neurodivergent young people. Loose discussion topics will be suggested, basic craft supplies and a few games are provided. Participation is low demand, and the group is a movement- and stim-friendly space. Generally, these sessions will meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, but check the Events Calendar for possible date changes. This program is intended for those 10 to 16 years old. Adult companions are welcome to attend. These sessions are facilitated by Angela Konin, MSW, LSW, Associate Clinician with Princeton Center for Mind Body Healing.

Xulgaria, Lewis Center for the Arts

Princeton Arts Fellow Kamara Thomas presents the first developmental production of her new musical theater work Xulgaria, featuring students from her spring course, the Princeton Playhouse Ensembles and guest artists from across the country. In this dark but hopeful fairy tale, two friends find themselves in an underworld of eternal winter—Xulgaria. On their journey they must face the great Bird-women who are the land’s rulers as they search for Spring and retrieve the parts of themselves thought lost. A talkback will follow the performance. Voter Registration Event, Nassau Presbyterian Church

The deadline to register to vote in the June primary election is rapidly approaching. If you are a first-time voter, or if you need to update your registration because you have recently changed your name or moved, come to the registration tables at Nassau Presbyterian church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton, just across from Palmer Square, on April 25, from 6pm to 9pm or on April 27 from 1pm to 4pm. The April 25 event will be held in the first floor Assembly Room, which can be accessed through the side door facing the church parking lot. Nassau Presbyterian and its sister congregation, the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church, are conducting these non-partisan voter registration & information events to help eligible voters register to vote, request mail-in ballots, or update their registration. Light refreshments will be provided.

An April Affair, Dress for Success Central NJ
