Meeting, 55 Plus Club

Thursday April 18, 2024

Gretchen Morgenson, Senior Financial Reporter in the Investigations unit at NBC News, will speak on "Capitalism on Steroids: How Private Equity Impoverishes Many While Enriching the Few," at the Jewish Center, 435 Nassau Street, and online at https://princetonol.com/groups/55plus/. Entrance is free with a $5 donation suggested. For payment info and online access, go to the website.

Much has been written about the widening gulf between rich and poor and how our economy has failed to provide a living wage for so many Americans. Far less is known of the crucial role a small cohort of elite financiers has played in this dispiriting outcome. Morgenson's book "These Are The Plunderers" draws back that curtain.
