Indian Farm Dinner, Cherry Grove Farm

Friday April 12, 2024
6:00 PM

Sandeep and Nalini Agarwal, who teach the paneer class at Cherry Grove Farm, and who run Pure Indian Foods, will be cooking a 5 course Indian dinner at Cherry Grove Farm in April. Anyone who has taken their paneer class will know how delicious Nalini’s cooking is. The April 12th meal will be vegetarian but it will likely have gluten, dairy and nuts. The menu will include an appetiser, soup, salad, rice and two vegetable dishes, and dessert. There will be a sampling of Cherry Grove cheeses with the appetiser, and a few traditional Indian drinks (non-alcoholic) will be served. You are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine or beer. As this dinner is in April we are limiting it to 16 people as we may have to be inside due to cold or rainy weather. So sign up quickly! Seats are going fast. We do plan to have one or two more Indian farm dinners over the summer and autumn. Possibly a dosa and idli dinner outside.

Discussion with Author Leila Philip, The Watershed Center

Friday April 12, 2024
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Leila Philip, Award winning author of New York Times Bestseller Beaverland, will speak at the Watershed on April 12. Beaverland is a masterful work of narrative science writing, a book that highlights, through history and contemporary storytelling, how this unusual rodent has played an oversized role in American history and continues to feature in its future. She follows fur trappers who lead her through waist-high water, fur traders, and fur auctioneers, as well as wildlife managers, PETA activists, Native American environmental vigilantes, scientists, engineers, and the colorful group of activists known as beaver believers.
