Winter Garden Party, Morven Museum & Garden

Cool Women Poetry Reading, Lawrence Headquarters Branch Library

The Cool Women Poets, a poetry critique and performance group, have been meeting for almost 30 years. They will be performing poems from their new anthology, at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, on Thursday, November 30 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, which will be linked together in a poetic jazz performance. The theme for this reading is "Fall Forward, Smile Back." The members of the group include Gretna Wilkinson, Sharon Olson, Maxine Susman, Judy Rowe Michaels, Juditha Dowd, Lois Marie Harrod, Joyce Greenberg Lott, Eloise Bruce, Betty Lies, and Penelope Scambly Schott. They are widely published individually and as a group (7 anthologies and 2 CDs of their work). Come and enjoy the poems that will make you laugh and love. You will leave with a renewed appreciation for language and life.

Holiday Succulent Garden Box Workshop: Paint, Plant, Cheers

Join us for a ladies night out of sipping, clucking, and crafting to ring in the holiday season! Choose from a variety of one-of-a-kind ornaments and holiday baubles to paint. Each is hand-crafted by local artisans at Swal's Statuary and will add a unique touch to this charming centerpiece. We'll plant easy-care succulents and arrange our painted pieces in a rustic garden box that will delight for many seasons to come

. Our ladies night workshop will be held in-store at 23 South Main Street in Allentown NJ. Guided instruction is provided by the artisans. Also provided is your choice of red or white wine for those 21+ (Please bring a valid ID). Take home succulent care instructions are included to ensure your indoor garden creation thrives. Both shops will be open exclusively for our workshop guests that evening for your holiday gift-giving needs!
