Corn Harvest, Howell Living History Farm

Get out your husking peg...it's time to pick corn! With more than 120,000 ears to pick, farmers could use your hand filling a horse-drawn wagon with field corn that will be ground into flour and donated to local food banks as part of Howell Farm's Share the Harvest Program. Next, head to the barn to help shell and grind corn for Howell Farm’s animals...or the farmhouse to make a batch of cornbread from freshly-ground cornmeal.

Hopewell Harvest Fair

The Harvest Fair returns again to the grounds of Hopewell Elementary School on Saturday October 21 from 10AM-4PM. A cherished local tradition, it attracts families from all over the area to enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun, while raising funds for local non-profits. Lead Sponsors of the 2023 Fair are Morehouse Engineering and Lakeland Bank.

Activities for kids of all ages: Games, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, inflatables, free demos with the Hopewell Fire Department, Hopewell Valley Central High School SPIKE Robotics Club, and more!  Old-fashioned country fun: A bake-off, homegrown vegetable displays, a kids’ straw maze to explore, and free country games.  Entertainment all day: Great live music all day! Bluegrass, rock-n-roll, country, and more!
