Learn fly-fishing basics with our FREE Fly Fishing 101 class. Based on 50 years of running schools and fly-fishing education programs, our class will provide you with the basics on fly casting, rigging, fly selection, and more. Perfect for beginners of all ages to get started fly fishing (under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult). All equipment is provided, all you need to do is sign up today to begin your lifetime of outdoor adventure!

The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM), Central New Jersey's only African American history museum sharing the history of Black Americans since the trans-Atlantic Slave trade, will hold its second annual Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 17, from 12 PM to 4 PM (rain or shine).
Our Juneteenth celebration, "Freedom Forward," is a family-friendly event that aims to educate, celebrate, and promote unity and cohesion within our culturally diverse community. The event will feature music by the Jon Ware Quintet featuring Gina Ware, a youth rock band from the Allegra School of Music and Arts, opera singer, Dr. Sonya Headlam, an original play written by Ryan Kilpatrick and performed by youth actors from the Allegra School of Music and Arts, original poetry by Olivia Altiidor, a youth poet from Hillsborough High School, a stone mosaic workshop from Emmy award-winning educator and artist, Dr. Ronah Harris and a family tree heritage workshop led by the Morven Museum. The event will feature classic African American barbecue from The Big Easy of Trenton and vegan food options from Mukolee Food Truck.

The African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County (AACCofMC) in partnership with the NJ Legislative District 15 (Senator Shirley Turner, Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds Jackson and Assemblyman Anthony Verrelli) Outdoor Equity Alliance are planning the Juneteenth Celebration. This event is scheduled for Friday, June 17 through Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the capital City of Trenton. As a Collaborative, we endeavor to be “more than just a festival,”. The goal of the Collaborative is to Educate, Empower and Unite Africans in the diaspora through cultural arts, health and wellness, entertainment and sports. The purpose of this carefully planned and socially distanced event is to highlight a few very poignant and current issues through displays of culture, collaboration, commerce, unity and education. We are working closely with the City of Trenton and other partners to ensure public safety.
