Annual Spring Gardening Kick Off, Isles

Since 1981, Isles Garden Support Network has been helping community and school gardens grow in Trenton. Once again this spring, Isles invites you to experience farming the old-fashioned way! On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, a team of horses and staff from Howell Living History Farm will plow the community garden at 81 Chestnut Avenue (between Walnut Ave. and Greenwood Ave.) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Rain date will be either Wednesday, April 5 or Thursday, April 6, depending on conditions.

The Chestnut Avenue Garden is the largest and oldest of more than 70 community and school gardens in Trenton, and it has hosted Howell Living History Farm plow teams for the majority of the 30 years that the event has been happening.

Open House, The Bridge Academy

The Bridge Academy is a 501c3 not for profit specialized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit disorder.

Open Houses are held monthly for parents and professionals who wish to obtain more information regarding The Bridge Academy for a possible placement or referral for a child. Information will be presented regarding The Bridge Academy curriculum, the admissions process, a tour of the school, as well as the opportunity to ask questions. Dates: 11/8, 1/10/23, 2/14, 3/14,4/4, 5/9

Capital Health LIFE offers coordinated, community-based care that supports independence for older adults. People who participate in a LIFE program remain independent with medical and social services provided at home and at the LIFE Center. We will discuss all the exciting social and physical wellness offerings during this presentation. Presenter Brianna Eusebio is a community liaison for Capital Health. Registration required, no fee.

An Evening with David Sedaris, State Theater
