Violinist Alina Ibragimova and Pianist Cédric Tiberghien, Princeton University Concerts
UK-based violinist Alina Ibragimova is one of the few European violin stars to not have appeared on the Princeton University Concerts ("PUC") series. Her long-anticipated recital debut, delayed for several years by the COVID-19 pandemic, will finally take place on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 7:30 PM at Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall with pianist Cédric Tiberghien. The duo, which has existed since 2005 when the artists were in their early 20s as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, has consistently topped classical charts, received coveted awards for their recordings, and enjoyed devoted followings across five continents. The program of works by Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Webern that they will bring to Princeton includes a sonata written by Mendelssohn when he was only fourteen years old.
